Gird 'n' Cleek
![]() |
This is traditionally Scottish but has spread to many countries by emigrating Scots with each country often creating a new name for it. Most Girds are iron hoops about 3 ft. in diameter (0.91 m) and, traditionally, the driving cleek is a separate instrument for guiding it. The course is oval and the competition is in the form of a race. |
